Valentina Shevchenko was dominant against Katlyn Chookagian at UFC 247, but she still could be sidelined for a significant period of time following her latest flyweight title defense.

Shevchenko received a six-month medical suspension after Saturday’s event at the Toyota Center in Houston, according to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. “Bullet” defeated Chookagian via third-round technical knockout in the UFC 247 co-main event. The specific nature of her term was not revealed, although it is likely that Shevchenko can have that suspension reduced with doctor clearance. Chookagian, meanwhile, was suspended until March 25 — a 46-day layoff.

UFC 247 saw Jon Jones retain his light heavyweight belt with a five-round verdict over Dominick Reyes in the evening’s headliner. Both Jones and Reyes received one-month suspensions following the bout.

Two other fighters, Journey Newson and Andre Ewell, are also facing potential six-month suspensions.
