Source: Ion Cutelaba, Devin Clark Set for UFC Fight Night Clash in September

A light heavyweight clash has been added to the upcoming
Sept. 18 UFC Fight Night
card in Las Vegas.

Ultimate Fighting Championship
205-pound contenders Ion
Cutelaba
and Devin Clark
will lock horns in the Octagon on Sept. 18, a person with knowledge
of the situation confirmed to Sherdog. MMA
DNA
reported was the first to report the pairing. “The Hulk”
and Clark should have clashed at UFC on ESPN 23, but Clark pulled
out of the contest due to an undisclosed injury and was replaced by
Dustin
Jacoby
.

Unfortunately for Cutelaba (15-6-1 1NC, 4-5-1 UFC), his clash with
Jacoby ended in a split draw. That night, “The Hulk” also failed to
bounce back following a two-bout skid as he was previously stopped
in the opening frame by Magomed
Ankalaev
consecutivelyat UFC Fight Night 169 and UFC 254.

PFL and “The Ultimate Fighter” live on your smart TV, computer,
phone, tablet or streaming device via the ESPN app.

Most recently, Clark (12-5, 6-5 UFC) lost to
former 205-pound championship contender Anthony
Smith
at UFC on ESPN 18. “Brown Bear” was submitted by Smith
with a triangle choke that ended their contest at the 2:34 mark of
Round 1. Prior, he took a couple of unanimous decisions from
Dequan
Townsend
and Alonzo
Menifield
at UFC Fight Night 167 and UFC 250, respectively.

The upcoming UFC Fight Night on Sept. 18 is expected to go down at
the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. At the moment of publication, the
promotion hasn’t announced a headlining bout. However, the card
will also feature a 205-pound tilt between Anthony
Smith
and Ryan Spann
and a lightweight clash between Dakota Bush
and Zhu
Rong
