An exciting light heavyweight affair has been added to Week 1 of
Dana White’s Contender Series on July 26, as Anton
Turkalj takes on Acacio
dos Santos. A source close to the situation relayed the
information to Sherdog.com, though the promotion has not yet
officially announced it.

Brave Combat Federation alum, Turkalj (7-0) is one of the
hottest prospects fighting out of the Scandinavian area at the
moment. The 25-year-old fighter scored the fastest knockout BCF
history when he demolished Konstantin
Soldatov with a spinning backfist in just 13 seconds in April.
“The Pleasure Man” has finished all seven of his opponents inside
two rounds.
Dos Santos (14-4) introduces himself to the United States audience
after an April 30 victory over Marcos
Brigagao, avenging a technical knockout defeat he suffered in
their first encounter at Standout Fighting Tournament 29 in
September. The Guarulhos Fight Team standout enjoyed an eight-bout
winning streak between Sept. 26, 2015 and Dec. 5, 2020. “Pequeno”
has recorded six wins by knockout and eight via decision.
Dana White’s Contender Series will kick off its 2022 campaign at
the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. In addition to Turkalj-dos Santos,
the card also features a middleweight clash pitting Osman Diaz
against Joseph
Pyfer and a 125-pound affair between Alessandro
Costa and Andres
Luna.
