Cedric Marks, a veteran of 59 professional mixed martial arts bouts, escaped from a “private prisoner transport” in Conroe, Texas, on Sunday, according to a report from Houston-based station KHOU 11.
Multiple law enforcement agencies are searching for Marks, who has three pending murder charges. Marks reportedly escaped when the transport stopped to get food. The 44-year-old is considered to be extremely dangerous and should not be approached.

Marks had been in Kent County, Mich., jail for allegedly breaking into the home of ex-girlfriend Jenna Scott on Aug. 21. Marks was released from Kent County Jail on Thursday and picked up by U.S. Prisoner Transportation Services to be extradited to Texas, according to jail officials. Scott and her friend, Michael Swearingin disappeared on Jan. 4 and their bodies were found in Clearview, Okla., on Jan. 15. Marks has not been named as a suspect in their deaths, per the report.
The Montgomery County (Texas) Sheriff’s office did not reveal which three murder charges Marks is facing.
Marks competed in MMA as recently as March 2018, losing to Edmilson Freitas at Rocks Xtreme MMA 23 in Corpus Christi, Texas. Over the course of a career that began in 1998, the fighter dubbed “Spider-Man” compiled a 31-27 mark with one no contest while squaring off with the likes of Yves Edwards, Drew Fickett, Pete Spratt, Aaron Riley, Dennis Hallman, Travis Lutter, Daniel Sarafian and Bobby Voelker, among others.
