The sixth week of Professional Fighters League’s Challenger
Series now has its lineup.

Per a PFL press release sent out on Thursday, the four tilts on
Week 6 of the PFL Challenger Series have been put together. The
145-pound-centric fight card will air on Fubo TV on March 3, and
like all the other Challenger Series events, it will be held inside
of Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. The main attraction
brings unbeaten up-and-comer Brahyan
Zurcher (4-0) against promotional newcomer David Evans
(5-1).
The three other tilts on the league’s marquee for the sixth week of
its Challenger series include: SBG Ireland prospect Nathan
Kelly (6-2) vs. Aries Fight Series vet Zachary
Hicks (8-4), 2022 PFL tourney participant Ago Huskic
(8-5) vs. undefeated Brazilian striker Gabriel
Braga (8-0) and ex-Indian bodybuilder Vikas
Singh Ruhil (12-6, 1 NC) vs. Africa’s Extreme Fighting
Championship titleholder Igeu Kabesa
(15-2).

Sefo, PFL’s President of Fighter Operations, briefly touched on
the featherweight lineup, saying, “The PFL Challenger Series is
where some of the best fighters in the world begin to create their
legacies, and we’re excited to introduce the Featherweight division
for the 2023 PFL Challenger Series. We are proud to present these
athletes with a global platform, fighting to achieve PFL Regular
Season glory.”
A mainstay of the PFL tournament since its inception and the lowest
weight class of the six, the featherweight bracket has been a
staple of the organization. The first two seasons in 2018 and 2019
saw Lance
Palmer repeat as the champion, defusing his opponents all the
way up and carving his name into the company’s record books. In
2021, Movlid
Khaybulaev claimed the throne by topping Chris Wade,
while Brendan
Loughnane secured the million-dollar check in the 2021 season
by knocking out Bubba
Jenkins. The winner of the Challenger Series contract may be
eligible to compete in the 2023 season, depending on the victor and
the remainder of the featherweight field.
