The lineup for Bellator 205 continues to expand, as Patricky Freire will meet Goiti Yamauchi at lightweight, while Veta Arteaga will face Denise Kielholtz at lightweight on Sept. 21 in Boise.
A promotion official confirmed the bouts to Sherdog.com on Monday following an initial report from MMAjunkie.com. Bellator 205 takes place at CenturyLink Arena and is headlined by a featherweight tilt pitting Pat Curran against A.J. McKee. The main card will be televised on Paramount Network at 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. CT.
Freire has won three straight fights since suffering a brutal knockout loss to Michael Chandler at Bellator 157. During that stretch, the 32-year-old “Pitbull” brother has bested Josh Thomson, Benson Henderson and Derek Campos to improve his Bellator record to 12-7.
Yamauchi, meanwhile, last appeared at Bellator 192 in January, when he lost a unanimous decision to Chandler to end a three-fight winning streak. The 25-year-old is 8-3 in Bellator and 22-4 as a professional overall.
Arteaga is coming off a three-round verdict over former flyweight title challenger Emily Ducote at Bellator 202 to improve her career mark to 4-2. Kielholtz, a kickboxing star from the Netherlands, is 2-1 in MMA after outpointing Petra Castkova at Bellator 196 in April.
