The former Bellator
MMA
two-division champion struggled to pull the trigger against
Yair Rodriguez, as he lost a clear-cut unanimous decision in a
featured featherweight bout at UFC
314
on Saturday night. “Pitbull” has lost three of his last
four professional outings overall.

“Congratulations to [Yair Rodriguez] we’ll see each other again.
I’m injury free and ready to go at any time. Thank you to all the
fans, I’ll make you all proud, you can count on that,” Freire
wrote.

Since he is healthy, Freire has his eyes on a return at UFC
317
, which takes place on June 28 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las
Vegas. While it appears that the Brazilian veteran has a few
opponents in mind, he didn’t reveal any names in his social media
post.

“Thank you UFC for everything. I felt very welcomed, great
treatment from all the staff towards me, my team and my family,” he
wrote. “I heard International Fight Week is amazing and the card is
still open. I’ve got a few names in mind. Who would you guys like
to see me fight next?”
