Omar Antonio Morales Ferrer Blows Away Troy Nawrocki in Bellator 204 Prelim Headliner

Knockouts were plentiful on the Bellator 204 preliminary card inside Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Friday night.

Venezuela’s Omar Antonio Morales Ferrer improved to 7-0 by blowing away Troy Nawrocki (3-1) in the featured preliminary bout. The lightweight prospect slammed a series of unanswered punches that destroyed Nawrocki’s equilibrium, eventually knocking him out in just 58 seconds.

The undercard had five other knockouts: Jason Jackson (8-3) lived up to his “The Ass-Kicking Machine” moniker by pummeling fellow welterweight Jordon Larson (9-5) with punches and ending things 3:58 into the first; 170-pounder David Michaud rose to 12-4 by greasing Corey Davis (2-1) with punches at 1:42 of the opening frame; middleweight Romero Cotton rocketed to 3-0 by crushing Willie Whitehead (2-3) with knees and punches at 4:12 of the first; welterweight Tyler Ray moved to 3-1 by knocking Seth Bass (2-3) out at the 3:30 mark of the first with elbows and knees; and Jeff Nielson won his pro debut by stopping fellow 185-pounder Wyatt Meyer (0-1) with punches at 2:53 of the first.

The lone submission of the preliminary card came when flyweight Lloyd McKinney wrapped up Robiel Tesfaldet with a textbook arm-triangle choke and forced him to tap out. The win came at 4:17 of the third, allowing McKinney to soar to 8-5. Tesfaldet, meanwhile, dipped to 1-2.

Lightweight prospect Demarques Jackson (9-2) earned a split decision victory over Bryce Logan while Micah Peatrowsky won his pro debut by dominating Keith Phathaem (0-2) en route to a unanimous decision victory, also at 155 pounds.
