Two red-hot European prospects are clashing in the last installment
of the Brave Combat Federation “Kombat Kingdom”
series.
Sherdog has learned from a person with knowledge of the situation
that highly touted prospect Muhammad
Mokaev (2-0) has found an opponent for
Brave CF 43. At bantamweight, he will lock horns with fellow
unbeaten Jamie Kelly
(3-0), and they will be competing on Oct. 1 in Bahrain. The source
asked for anonymity since the news isn’t official yet.
Mokaev turned pro after 23 consecutive amateur victories. “The
Punisher” didn’t disappoint in his professional debut by taking
home an impressive unanimous decision victory over Glenn
McVeigh at Brave CF 37. A few days later, he overcame Hayden
Sheriff with ease with a first-round TKO victory in the main
event of Celtic Gladiator 27. Kelly will be the first man the young
prospect has faced as a pro that has won a match, with his two
prior opponents sporting a combined record of 0-10 when he met
them.
Kelly last competed on the same Celtic Gladiator card as Mokaev,
where he smashed UK MMA veteran Reece
Street via first-round TKO. Prior to trouncing Street, he also
crushed Dave Jones
and Mitchell
Johnson at Budo 42 and Budo 43, respectively. Both of those
violent victories came inside the first stanza as well. Not to be
outdone by Mokaev, Kelly’s three career wins came over men with a
record of 0-40 between those opponents.
Brave CF 43 will go down in the Kingdom of Bahrain on Oct. 1. The
card will be the last of the three shows that the Bahraini
organization is promoting starting on Sept. 17 to mark its home
return. The trilogy of shows will feature several champions putting
their belts on the line in addition to the first round of the
flyweight grand prix that will crown the new divisional champion.
