ESPN first brought word of the bout. UFC 287 takes place on
April 8 and is likely to take place in Brooklyn, N.Y. A main event
has not been confirmed for the card.
Waterson-Gomez will attempt to snap a two-fight skid when she meets
Pinheiro. The former Invicta atomweight champion is coming off a
second-round submission loss to Amanda
Lemos at UFC on ABC 3 in her lone appearance of 2022. Waterson
has lost four of her last five promotional appearances.
Pinheiro, meanwhile, is 2-0 since earning a UFC contract on Dana
White’s Contender Series. Most recently, the 29-year-old Brazilian
outpointed Sam Hughes
at UFC Fight Night 198 on Nov. 20.
