Mairbek Taisumov will look to build upon a five-bout winning streak in the Octagon when he faces Desmond Green at UFC Fight Night Moscow on Sept. 15.
Taisumov revealed the lightweight booking via social media on Sunday. UFC Fight Night 136 takes place in Moscow and is headlined by a heavyweight bout between Alexey Oleynik and Mark Hunt. The card will stream in its entirety on UFC Fight Pass.
Taisumov was supposed to face Evan Dunham at UFC 223 but had to withdraw from the matchup due to visa issues. The Chechen fighter has finished all of his last five opponents by knockout or technical knockout. Most recently, he stopped Felipe Silva via KO in 84 seconds at UFC Fight Night 115 on Sept. 2. Taisumov owns a 26-5 career mark.
Green, meanwhile, halted a two-fight skid with a decision win against Gleison Tibau at UFC Fight Night 131 on June 1. “The Predator” is 2-2 in the UFC and 21-7 as a professional overall.
