Legacy Fighting Alliance will make Sioux Falls, South Dakota, its home for the entirety of July.

The promotion announced Wednesday that it will hold four events — each headlined by title fights — behind closed doors at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Every Friday night, the cards will air on UFC Fight Pass beginning at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.

“I am excited to announced that LFA will be returning with live weekly MMA events in July,” LFA CEO Ed Soares said. “We brought the first sanctioned MMA event to the state of South Dakota six summers ago and have a great working relationship with South Dakota Athletic Commission and Sanford Pentagon.

“This will allow us to set up a safe environment for our fighters and staff, while implementing strict coronavirus (COVID-19) testing and safeguards to control and ensure a healthy LFA residency on our fight campus in Sioux Falls. Starting on July 10 we will host four events in four weeks with each event featuring an LFA world title fight.”

LFA hasn’t held an event since March 6, when LFA 83 went down at the Bomb Factory in Dallas, Texas. The organization was forced to suspend its event schedule due to the ongoing pandemic.

LFA 84 will be headlined by a featherweight championship clash between Justin Gonzales and Jake Childers on July 10. Gonzales improved his career mark to 6-0 with a decision win over Zach Zane on Season 3 of Dana White’s Contender Series last summer. Childers, meanwhile, is unbeaten in seven professional outings — including three triumphs under the LFA banner.

LFA 85 features a strawweight title showdown pitting Sam Hughes against Crystal Vanessa Demopoulos on July 17. Hughes was successful in her LFA debut, earning a unanimous verdict over Lisa Mauldin. Demopoulos has won three straight promotional appearances after falling to Iztel Esquivel in her debut in October 2018.

Atop the LFA 86 bill will be a clash for the flyweight belt between Greg Fischer and Jimmy Flick on July 24. Fischer has won nine of 10 professional outings while competing primarily for the Shogun Fights organization. Flick’s 11-5 career mark includes a pair of victories with LFA and nine triumphs via submission.

Finally, LFA 87 will see Bryce Logan square off against Jacob Rosales for the lightweight crown on July 31. A Sioux Falls native, Logan is coming off back-to-back triumphs over Kenneth Glenn and Jonas Flok in LFA. After losing on the Contender Series last July, Rosales rebounded to outpoint Salaiman Ahmadyar at LFA 81 in January.
