Phase three of the
Legacy Fighting Alliance’s return is on track with every
fighter making weight for the first fight card.
LFA
92 is headlined by a bantamweight bout between Kevin Wirth
and Askar
Askar. Looking to extend his three-fight win streak is Wirth
(8-1). “Mr. Nice Guy” has gone 2-1 inside the promotion and most
recently won a decision over Ryan
Lilley. While he has five decision wins on his record, Wirth
showed his finishing ability in his promotional debut as he knocked
out Isaiah
Gutierrez with a head kick and punches. The Colorado fighter
had no issue making weight and officially came in at 134.4
pounds.
Also with only one blemish on his record is Askar (10-1). However,
Askar’s lone loss was in his last fight against Saidyokub
Kakhramonov, who knocked him out in just 30 seconds. The
Midwest Training Center fighter has competed once before in the
LFA, defeating Derrick
Mandell on the scorecards, and will look to bounce back against
another tough test. Askar successfully made weight coming in at
135.8 pounds.
LFA 92 will air live on UFC Fight Pass at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.
Although every fighter made weight, the card is down to seven
fights after the featherweight bout between Justin
Wetzell and Jordan Mapa
was removed due to COVID-19.
