UFC Raleigh is down a fight, as Josh Emmett has pulled out of a proposed featherweight clash against Arnold Allen.
MMAjunkie.com was first to report Emmett’s withdrawal. Emmett reportedly suffered an injury in training, but the severity of the ailment is unclear. It is not yet known if Allen will remain on the card.
UFC Raleigh takes place at PNC Arena on Jan. 25 and is headlined by a heavyweight showdown between Curtis Blaydes and Junior dos Santos. In the co-main event, Rafael dos Anjos will square off against Michael Chiesa at welterweight. The card will stream on ESPN+.
Emmett has won four of his last five contests in the Las Vegas-based promotion. The Team Alpha Male product last appeared at UFC Fight Night 155, where he defeated Mirsad Bektic via first-round technical knockout on July 13.
