Former Cage Warriors Fighting Championship
featherweight kingpin Jordan
Vucenic successfully bounced back after suffering his first
promotional defeat.
The
CW 150 headliner featured a featherweight affair between
Vucenic (10-2, 6-1 CW) and Tiziano
Ferranti. Ferranti (6-1, 0-1 CW) started strong and clipped his
opponent a few times before Vucenic successfully grounded his
opponent. Vucenic had no problem keeping Ferranti on the mat for
much of the round after taking some early damage. “The Epidemic”
landed a double-leg takedown almost immediately in Round 2,
reaffirming that the Italian was outmatched on the canvas. Slowly
but surely, Vucenic improved his position until capturing his
opponent’s back. Sensing the end was close, Vucenic secured a
rear-naked choke that was tight enough to make his opponent
surrender. The official stoppage time came at 3:21 of the second
stanza.

In the co-featured attraction, former 185-pound title challenger
Jamie
Richardson and Justin
Burlinson collided in a welterweight affair. The pair kept the
contest on the feet in the opening frame, stinging each other with
crisp strikes. Both men had their moments, but Burlinson appeared
sharper with his punches. Richardson rushed to attack his foe early
into the second frame, but Burlinson maintained his composure and
scored with wild combinations as “Young Gun” fired back with single
shots. Burlinson relied on his wrestling in the third frame,
landing a well-timed takedown to slow things down. Richardson
fought to get back on his feet but exposed his back in the process,
allowing Burlinson to move to the favorable position and sink in a
rear-naked choke. Richardson never had the chance to tap, going out
at the 3:55 mark of Round 3.
