The Ultimate Fighting Championship officially announced a light heavyweight clash between 205-pound notables Ilir Latifi (14-5) and Glover Teixeira (27-6). The men will collide July 22 at Barclaycard Arena in Hamburg, Germany at UFC Fight Night 134.
The 34-year-old Latifi picked up a “Performance of the Night” bonus in his last appearance in the Octagon after choking out Ovince St. Preux. The Swede has won four of his last five fights and he is now riding a two-bout winning streak.
Teixeira is a knockout artist who put away Misha Cirkunov in his most recent action. Previously, the 38-year-old Brazilian was defeated by Alexander Gustafsson at UFC Fight Night 109 in Sweden.
