Four Fights Official for UFC Norfolk on Feb. 29

The card for UFC Norfolk continues to fill rapidly, as the Las Vegas-based promotion confirmed four contests for the Feb. 29 event.

The newly official bouts are as follows: Ion Cutelaba vs. Magomed Ankalaev at light heavyweight; Sergey Spivak vs. Marcin Tybura at heavyweight; Mike Davis vs. Giga Chikadze at featherweight and Jordan Griffin vs. T.J. Brown at featherweight.

UFC Norfolk takes place at Charway Arena and is headlined by a clash between Joseph Benavidez and Deiveson Figueiredo for the vacant flyweight crown. In the co-main event, Felicia Spencer will meet Zarah Fairn dos Santos in a women’s featherweight scrap.

The 26-year-old Cutelaba has won three of his last four Octagon appearances, including a first-round TKO of Khalil Rountree in his most recent outing at UFC Fight Night 160. Ankalaev has lost just once in 13 professional bouts and is currently riding a three-bout winning streak in the promotion.

Spivak improved to 10-1 as a professional when he submitted Tai Tuivasa at UFC 243 for his first promotional triumph. Tybura has lost four of his last five UFC bouts and is coming off a first-round KO loss to Augusto Sakai on Sept. 14.

Davis authored one of 2019’s most lopsided fights when he defeated Thomas Gifford via third-round KO at UFC Fight Night 161 on Oct. 12. Chikadze, a talented kickboxer, improved his winning streak to three in his Octagon debut with a split verdict over Brandon Davis at UFC Fight Night 160.

A former competitor on Dana White’s Contender Series, Griffin is looking for his first UFC win after back-to-back losses to Dan Ige and Chas Skelly in his initial two Octagon appearances. Brown, meanwhile, will make his promotional debut after submitting Dylan Lockard on the Contender Series this past August.
