Japanese veteran Yushin Okami has signed with Singapore-based promotion One Championship.
One CEO Chatri Sityodtong revealed the news via Twitter on Tuesday. A date for Okami’s promotional debut was not announced.

Okami last appeared at UFC Fight Night 142 on Dec. 1, when he lost a unanimous decision to Alexy Kunchenko in Adelaide, Australia. “Thunder” went 14-7 over two separate UFC stints, coming up short in a middleweight title bid against Anderson Silva in August 2011.
The 37-year-old owns a 35-12 career mark that also includes bouts in World Series of Fighting, Pancrase, Deep and Pride. Okami has earned wins over the likes of Nate Marquardt, Mark Munoz, Evan Tanner, Mike Swick, Hector Lombard and Alan Belcher, among others.
