Bellator MMA is stacking the deck at Bellator 216 in February, as the promotion has set an exciting welterweight contest between Erick Silva and Yaroslav Amosov.

On Thursday, MMA Fighting first announced that Bellator would be matching up Silva (20-9-1) against the undefeated Amosov (20-0). Silva was signed by Bellator in 2018 and was originally slated to make his debut at Bellator 207 against Lorenz Larkin, but suffered an injury.

The eternally youthful Silva made his post-UFC appearance a memorable one, tapping Nick Barnes in the main event of LFA 45 in July 2018. Before appearing in the Legacy Fighting Alliance, Silva celebrated a 15-fight UFC career spanning over six years, earning seven post-fight bonuses while fighting for the organization.

Amosov has never been beaten as a professional in 20 bouts since making his MMA debut in 2012. Making his promotional debut at Bellator 202 in July 2018, he nullified “The Ultimate Fighter” Season 7 contestant and four-time UFC competitor Gerald Harris to win a decision. Throughout Amosov’s career, he has finished 17 of his 20 opponents, with all but one of those finishes taking place within the first two rounds.

Bellator 216 will take place at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut, and will air exclusively on DAZN. Headlining the event will be welterweight World Grand Prix grudge match between Michael Page and Paul Daley, and the card will also contain major heavyweight tilts between Cheick Kongo and Vitaly Minakov as well as the rematch between Mirko Filipovic and Roy Nelson.
