Round 1
Breeden steps forward and lands a right hand after a feeling-out
process from both lightweights. Breeden pressures and lands a body
kick and a low kick. Romero has a left high kick blocked, but he
follows up with a chopping low kick. Romero misses an uppercut but
follows up with a high kick that’s partially blocked. Breeden and
Romero trade calf kicks. Romero pumps his jab and snaps Breeden’s
head back. Romero pressures with a combination. Breeden just misses
on a big right hand. Romero has utilized solid head movement
throughout the round. Breeen goes back to the well with a body
kick, but he gets tagged by a Romero combination. Romero lands a
hard low kick and then misses a flying knee near the fence. Breeden
with another body kick but he can’t follow up. Romero goes upstairs
with a right hand. The round ends without further incident.

Round 2
Breeden looks to grab a single leg but Romero shucks him off. They
trade in close quarters before Breeden forces the clinch. They
separate and Romero tags Breeden with a jab. Romero explodes for a
takedown and lands a high kick as Breeden quickly hustles to get
upright. Romero lands an outside low kick, which prompts Breeden to
switch stancess. Breeden lands a solid right hand during an
exchange. Romero pressures and lands a combination, but Breeden
counters effectively. Romero counters a calf kick with a stiff jab.
Another jab lands for the Canadian. Romero then follows a third jab
with a spinning back fist that connects. Breeden looks for a
takedown against the fence but Romero slips away and tags his foe
with a jab followed by an elbow. Moments later, Romero explodes for
a takedown. Breeden quickly scrambles up. Another low kick lands
for Romero. Suddenly, Breeden cracks Romero with a flying knee
followed by a right hand with less than 30 seconds ot go. Late in
the round, Romero lands an inside leg kick that has Breeden limping
before the horn.

Round 3
Breeden stalks Romero but eats a right hand. Breeden clinches
against the fence, but the break. Romero lands a kick to the body
taht Breeden catches, and he’s able to counter. The lightweights
briefly trade in the pocket. Another pair of low kicks has Breeden
reeling backward toward the fence, and Romero is targeting that
area. Romero continues to chop away, but Breeden hangs tough.
Breeden pressures against the fence and lands a pair of hooks.
Breeden keeps moving forward and rips Romero to the body. Romero
drives Breeden to the cage and they separate. A right uppercut-left
hook combo lands for Romero. Breeden sticks a jab. Breeden stuffs a
takedown. Breeden continues to wade forward, and he lands multiple
punches during a flurry with Romero attempting to circle away. A
hard left hook connects clean for Breeden, who is surging late.
Breeden eats a hard kick to the liver. Breeden is still on the
attack, but he gets caught with a counter uppercut. A pair of calf
kicks with 30 seconds left from Romero have Breeden reeling.
Breeden recovers and ties Romero up. They separate and Romero
punishes his opponent with two more leg kicks, and Breeden is
hobbling once again. Romero closes with a takedown before the horn.

Round 1
Molina lands a front kick and follows up with a hard low kick that
knocks Silva off balance right away. Silva catches a low kick and
lands a couple punches to the head before shoving Molina to the
mat. He doesn’t want to follow him, and Molina is back to his feet,
where he drives Silva into the fence. Molina lands a knee to the
body as the flyweights jockey for position. They separate and Silva
counters a kick and shoves his foe down. Molina gets up and Silva
tags him with punches. However, Silva gets clipped coming forward
and responds by changing levels. Molina defends against the cage
and they separate. A front kick gets through for Molina. Silva
again counters a low kick effectively before shoving Molina into
the fence. Molina reverses position with about 1:00 to go. Molina
lands a knee in close. Molina just misses an elbow on the break. A
short right hand from Molina clips Silva in the waning seconds and
drops him to a knee before the horn.

Round 2
Molina lands a low kick and Silva counters with a straight right. A
body kick finds a home for Silva, and he presses forward and
follows up with a right hand. Another snapping low kick from Molina
connects. Molina lands a long jab. Silva can’t find the range on a
combination, and Molina answers with a right. Molina is mixing up
his offense well, blending jabs, front kicks and low kicks
together. Molina finds the range on a counter right hand over the
top. A two-punch combination followed by a body kick lands for
Molina. Silva answers with a body kick of his own and shrugs off a
takedown against the cage. A head kick lands clean for Molina, and
Silva wobbles back into the fence but quickly shakes it off. They
clinch and Molina fires off a series of knees to the body as time
winds down. They separate just before the horn.

Round 3
Silva has a gash under his right eye courtesy of the Round 2 head
kick he absorbed. Molina lands a body kick followed by a
combination. Silva presses forward and sticks a jab. They tie up
and Molina lands a knee on the break. Another head kick lands for
Molina and Silva shakes it off. Silva lands a nice right over the
top as Molina stalks him. Referee Mark Smith briefly halts the
action to warn the fighters about accidental headbutts. A right
lands for Silva. Silva pressures and lands a combination. Molina
times a counter knee perfectly and it catches Silva flush on the
chin. Silva eats it and keeps on fighting. Molina lands a jab and
angles out of danger. Silva fires back with a couple hard jabs of
his own. Silva flurries with a combination, but Molina avoids the
majority of it. Silva is still throwing bombs, but Molina’s
movement is on point. Silva closes with a flourish, landing a
barrage of offense near the cage before the round ends.

Round 1
The featherweights trade leg kicks early. Alves stalks and lands a
quick jab. Flores counters a leg kick with a straight right hand.
The speed of both men is impressive during early exchanges. Alves
is taking the role of aggressor, but Flores is occasionally finding
the range on long jabs. A hard front kick from Alves sends Flores
into the fence, and he follows up with two powerful hooks shortly
thereafter. A spinning back kick from Alves is blocked, but he does
hit his mark with a straight right. Flores secures a body lock and
shoves his opponent into the fece. They separate in short order.
Flores remains content to be on the outside of the catch, with
Alves in stalking mode. Alves steps in and lands a left hook before
the end of the period.

Round 2
Flores flicks out a jab right away. Flores is more aggressive
early, and he lands a low kick. Flores follows a body kick with a
leg kick. Flores fakes a Superman punch and follows up with a body
kick. An inside leg kick lands flush for Alves. A jumping switch
kick to the body connects for Alves. Alves rushes forward with a
looping left hook and then jumps guard for a guillotine choke when
Flores changes levels. They gradually move toward the fence and Alves
maintains the squeeze. He briefly adjusts the hold, and Flores is
finally forced to tap out.

Round 1
Pickett lands a low kick followed by a right jab and Pati shakes
his head. Pati chops at Pickett’s legs in response. Pickett comes
forward with a long-one two combination. A straight left backs up
Pati, and he sticks a jab moments later. Pati is pressuing Pickett,
who changes levels for a nicely-timed takedown. Pati is active from
his back, looking to frame a triangle, but Pickett steps over to
side control. Pickett maintains a front headlock as Pati stands,
drives his foe into the fence and then executes a slam at the base
of the cage. Now it’s Pickett carrying Pati’s weight from a seated
position. Pickett locks up a guillotine from his back, and Pati is
gurgling a little bit. Pati is able to pull his head free, and he’s
still on top. Pati drops a heavy elbow and punch from above before
they stand. They trade for a moment, and Pati is throwing some wild
haymakers. They clinch and Pati lands a knee to the gut followed by
a right hand. They round ends with the middleweights trading in
close quarters off the break.

Round 2
Pickett connects with a long combination to start the round. “The
Nightwolf” senses an opening, and snaps Pati’s head back with a
long right hand. That opens the floodgates for what turns out to be
an impressive finishing sequence. With Pati going backward, Pickett
flurries with punches to the head on his reeling opponent. Pati
covers up against the fence, only to absorb another barrage of
shots as he marches forward into Pickett’s range. One punch after another is landing flush. Pati
finally tumbles to the canvas after absorbing copious amounts of
punishment, and referee Mark Smith steps in to halt the
carnage. The third time on Dana White’s Contender Series
appears to be the charm for Pickett.
