The bout was contested over eight rounds and served as the co-main
event of the Fight Music 2 card at Arena da Baixada in Curitiba,
Brazil. While the promotion billed it as a professional fight, it
is still unclear if it will ultimately be recognized as a pro or
exhibition bout, according to
MMAFighting.com.
“Cyborg” reportedly landed the harder shots throughout the fight,
but Silva was able to survive the power of the Bellator MMA
featherweight queen. The contest ended with a wild exchange of
punches in Round 8. Judges’ scores were not announced.

“I’m very happy with my first boxing fight,” Cyborg told
ESPN. “It was eight rounds. It’s different for somebody coming
in for the first time. But I know I’ve got a lot to prove. And I’m
very happy.”
Silva entered the matchup with a 17-22 professional record and was
still serving a 60-day medical suspension following a knockout loss
in Houston on Aug. 13, according to MMAFighting.com. Prior to
Sunday’s fight, Justino last appeared at Bellator 279 on April 23,
when she defended her 145-pound belt with a decision win over
Arlene
Blencowe.
The Fight Music 2 card began with five MMA bouts in a cage followed
by an intermission higlighted by a concert. The cage was then
converted to a ring for five boxing matches, including Justino vs.
Silva.
