Njokuani’s management, Iridium Sports Agency, confirmed the contest
on social media. UFC on ESPN 43 takes place at the AT&T Center
in San Antonio, Texas, on March 25 and is also expected to include
a women’s flyweight tilt pitting Andrea Lee
against Maycee
Barber.
An eight-time Bellator MMA veteran, Njokuani kicked off his UFC
tenure with back-to-back first-round knockouts of Marc-Andre
Barriault and Dusko
Todorovic before suffering a second-round TKO defeat to
Gregory
Rodrigues in his last outing at UFC Fight Night 210 on Sept.
17.
Russia’s Duraev had a 10-bout professional winning streak snapped
in his most recent appearance, when he fell to Joaquin
Buckley at UFC on ESPN 37. The Fight Club Berkut member debuted
in the Octagon with a decision win over Roman
Kopylov at UFC 267.
