Cage Warriors women’s flyweight champion Molly McCann will make her Octagon debut at UFC Fight Night 130 in Liverpool.
The European promotion recently confirmed the McCann signing via Twitter. According to a report from MMA-Today.com, McCann will square off against Gillian Robertson at the event, which takes place on May 27 at Echo Arena. UFC Fight Night 130 is headlined by a welterweight duel between Stephen Thompson and Darren Till and will air on Fox Sports 1 following prelims on UFC Fight Pass.
McCann, a Liverpool native, will enter her first promotional foray on a six-fight winning streak. “Meatball” captured the Cage Warriors 125-pound crown with a second-round technical knockout of Bryony Tyrell CWFC 90 on Feb. 24.
Robertson, meanwhile, made a brief appearance on Season 26 of “The Ultimate Fighter,” where she fell to Barb Honchak via second-round TKO in the reality show’s opening round. She returned at the “TUF 26” finale to score a first-round submission of Emily Whitmire to improve her career mark to 4-2.
