Cage Warriors Fighting Championship weekend kicked off Friday afternoon in Birmingham, England, with the official CW 98 weigh-ins. On Saturday, CW welterweight champion Stefano Paterno will put his belt on the line at the Genting Arena, where he will face undefeated Ross Houston.
An undisclosed reason forced the British promotion to change its co-main event at the last minute. Alan Carlos was declared not able to compete and his bout with Yannick Bahati was removed from the bill.
A featherweight title eliminator bout between Scotland’s Paull McBain and hometown hero Aiden Lee has now gained the co-main event spot. On the other side of the tournament draw, Dean Truman meets Lewis Monarch for a shot at the belt.
A welterweight bout between Adam Proctor and Angelo Rubino also highlights the main card with a possible title shot on the horizon.
