Lightweights Ismael Bonfim and Vinc Pichel will lock horns at UFC 301 on May 4 in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.

The news was first reported by Eurosport Nl’s Marcel Dorff on X (formerly known as Twitter) and later confirmed by Bonfim on his social media accounts. UFC 301 will be headlined by a flyweight title clash between reigning champion Alexandre Pantoja and Steve Erceg.Bonfim (19-4) will enter the Octagon coming off a Round 1 submission loss to Frenchman Benoit St. Denis in his sophomore promotional outing in July last year. The loss snapped the promising Brazilian’s 13-fight win streak, which included eight finishes.
Pichel (14-3), a former “Ultimate Fighter” contestant, will enter the Octagon coming off a unanimous decision loss to Mark O. Madsen in April 2022. The loss to O. Madsen spoiled a three-fight win streak for the American, which included wins over the likes of Jim Miller, Austin Hubbard and Roosevelt Roberts.
