A former M-1 Global champion, Landwehr is 1-2 in his first three promotional appearances. In his last outing, “The Train” suffered a flying knee knockout loss to Julian Erosa 56 seconds into the opening round of their bout at UFC Fight Night 185. Landwehr was also knocked out by a knee from Herbert Burns in his Octagon debut but recovered to outpoint Darren Elkins in his next bout at UFC on ESPN 8.

Former UFC flyweight contender John Dodson and his family were involved in a serious car accident over the weekend.

According to Dodson’s manager, Ricky Kottenstette, the fighter will no longer be able to compete in his scheduled bout against Cody Gibson at XMMA 2 on July 30 following the “near death” crash. A GoFundMe account has been started to help the New Mexico native and his family, and donations can be made here.

“We have started this go fund me to help John Dodson and family. The Dodson’s were headed to Texas on vacation to visit family when they were involved in a near death accident with the whole family inside the vehicle,” Kottenstette wrote.

Saturday marks a year since Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov, the father of former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomeodv, died due to COVID-19 related complications.

Abdulmanap was an integral figure in the MMA career of his son, serving as Khabib’s main coach during his rise to prominence. His death hastened Khabib’s departure from the sport, as the Dagestani grappler retired following a victory over Justin Gaethje at UFC 254 this past October, citing a promise he made to his mother to no longer compete without his father by his side.

Nate Marquardt will return to action for the first time since November 2017.

The former Strikeforce champion and UFC title challenger announced his comeback from retirement during Titan FC 70 on Friday. Marquardt plans to fight at the promotion’s Aug. 6 event. An opponent for the fight was not revealed.

“It’s 100 percent God,” Marquardt said of his motivation to return. “Honestly, I’ve been sent here to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and He’s the only way to be saved and our nation is in desperate need right now to turn back to the Lord. Multiple outlets confirmed that Moutinho will face O’Malley at UFC 264 after “Sugar” announced the pairing on Twitch. O'Malley's original opponent, Louis Smolka, withdraw from the bout due to a staph infection. UFC 264 takes place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on July 10 and is headlined by a trilogy bout between Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor.

Moutinho has competed almost exclusively for CES MMA while compiling a 9-4 record since beginning his professional tenure in 2016. Paul recently donated $5,000 to a GoFundMe account started by UFC fighter Sarah Alpar, writing “Keep training hard Sarah, sending you positive energy for your camp!!!” Alpar started the account in hopes of raising $30,000 by December to help her train full time and cover expenses such as food, supplements, recovery, gym fees, doctor fees, travel, gas and room and board.

The Las Vegas-based promotion on Wednesday announced a multi-event partnership with the Toyota Center that will include the UFC 265 event on Aug. 7. While it was not revealed exactly how many events or for how many years the agreement would run, it does include a “prospective” pay-per-view card in 2022.

Multiple outlets confirmed the targeted booking following an initial report from Ariel Helwani. UFC 266 takes place on Sept. 25 and is headlined by a light heavyweight championship clash between Jan Blachowicz and Glover Teixeira.

The Polish promotion recently announced the light heavyweight main event. KSW 62 takes place in Warsaw, Poland and will see Andrzej Grzebyk and Marius Zaromskis square off in the co-headliner at welterweight. The event can be viewed via pay-per-view at KSWTV.com.

Smolka’s exit was initially reported by Ariel Helwani, and the fighter’s management confirmed with ESPN the reason for his withdrawal from the bout.

The promotion is currently seeking a replacement opponent for O’Malley, according to multiple reports.

UFC 264 takes place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on July 10 and is headlined by a trilogy fight between Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor. O’Malley vs. Smolka was slated to kick off the pay-per-view portion of the event, which airs at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT via ESPN+.

Poirier and McGregor will square off for a third time in the UFC 264 headliner at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on July 10. McGregor defeated Poirier via first-round TKO in their first bout at UFC 178 in 2014, while “The Diamond” got his revenge with a second-round stoppage at UFC 257 on Jan. 23. “The Eagle” secured submission victories over both men when he was UFC champion.

Some 19 months after five consecutive losses prompted his UFC release, Barao is hungry to make a comeback.

As a result, Friday’s LFA 110 card will be headlined by an interim flyweight championship showdown between Charles Johnson and Yuma Horiuchi. MMAjunkie.com first brought word of the change. A reason for the postponement is currently unknown, but the light heayvweight title bout is expected to be rebooked as soon as possible.

LFA 110 takes place at Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, S.D., and airs on UFC Fight Pass at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.
