Beyond the main event title fight, there are two other bouts
scheduled for five rounds. Two bantamweight grand prix fights will
see Leandro
Higo take on Danny
Sabatello and Magomed
Magomedov face Enrique
Barzola. All 28 fighters on the card made weight as the
weigh-ins were devoid of much drama, aside from a brief shoving
match between preliminary competitors.
Mousasi (49-7-2) will look to notch his 50th victory inside the
Bellator cage. The champion hasn’t lost a fight since 2019, and is
currently riding a four-fight win streak. “The Dreamcatcher” most
recently demolished Austin
Vanderford in under 90 seconds. The Netherlands native
officially weighed 185 pounds on the dot.
The challenger is the undefeated Eblen, who holds a professional
mixed martial arts record of 11-0. “Diamond Hands” has won seven
straight fights inside the Bellator cage, including a decision win
over John Salter
to earn this title shot. The middleweight also weighed exactly 185
pounds for the biggest fight of his career.
Bellator 282 will air live on Friday on Showtime at 9 p.m. ET/6
p.m. PT. Prelims begin on YouTube at 6 p.m. ET/3 p.m. PT.
