Bellator 222 Medical Suspensions: Eduardo Dantas Gets 90 Days After KO Defeat

Eduardo Dantas will be sidelined 90 days following his second-round knockout loss to Juan Archuleta at Bellator 222.

The New York State Athletic Commission recently released medical suspensions from this past Friday’s event. Dantas’ term was the longest of any fighter on the card, which took place at Madison Square Garden in New York. A right hook from Archuleta knocked Dantas unconscious with one second remaining in the second frame.

Chael Sonnen and Aaron Pico, both of whom suffered TKO defeats, each received a 60-day sit. Sonnen, however, retired after his loss to Lyoto Machida in the co-main event. The NYSAC doesn’t reveal the specific nature of each athlete’s suspension. No one else on the card received longer than 30 days.
