An exciting bantamweight feature between two promising prospects has been added to the Ultimate Fighting Championship‘s next trip to London.
On Thursday morning, the promotion announced that Welsh prospect Jack Shore (12-0) and Geraldo de Freitas Jr. (12-5) will lock horns at UFC London.
The undefeated Shore made his UFC debut after a long run in Cage Warriors Fighting Championship, where he won the bantamweight crown. In his UFC debut, “Tank” overcame Nohelin Hernandez thanks to a slick rear-naked choke submission at UFC Fight Night 160.
In his latest Octagon appearance, “The Spartan” Freitas dropped a split decision to Chris Gutierrez in a bantamweight affair that went down at UFC Fight Night 156. Prior to that, the Nova Uniao representative defeated Felipe Dias Colares by unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 144.
UFC London — also known as UFC Fight Night 171 — will go down on March 21 at The O2 Arena in London, England. The fight card features also a middleweight clash between Darren Stewart and Italian fighter Marvin Vettori, a light heavyweight battle between Scotsman Paul Craig and Ryan Spann and the UFC debut of British heavyweight prospect Tom Aspinall against Raphael Pessoa.
