Over the weekend, Anthony Johnson generated a little bit of buzz when he appeared on the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship’s broadcast.
While there was initially some confusion about Johnson’s role within the company, “Rumble” made it clear that he had not signed on to fight in the organization.“I’m in charge of fighter relations,” Johnson said on “The Luke Thomas Show” on Sirius XM. “Getting fighters and other opportunities to help the company grow, that’s what I’ll be a part of.
“Rumble” retired from MMA following a second-round submission loss to Daniel Cormier in a light heavyweight title bout at UFC 210. Johnson didn’t completely rule out a return.
“If the price is right, anything can happen,” he said.
