Ali Abdelaziz Offers Conor McGregor A Fight Against Justin Gaethje On Twitter

Controversial manager Ali Abdelaziz is back in the spotlight, this time offering former lightweight champion Conor McGregor a fight against Justin Gaethje in a post on Twitter.

Abdelaziz and McGregor clearly don’t see eye-to-eye, with the feud going back several years and reaching a boiling point when the Irishman took on another of Abdelaziz’s fighters in Khabib Nurmagomedov who dominated McGregor in their lightweight title fight back at UFC 229 in October last year.

The bout was remembered more for the ugly post-fight brawl that took place inside and outside the Octagon immediately following the finish. While both McGregor and Nurmagomedov received lengthy suspensions for their part in the brawl, the bad blood is still there and the pair have been exchanging Twitter messages taking personal jabs at each other.

For Abdelaziz, his sole job is to get the best deal for his fighters and he reached out to McGregor on Twitter and offered him a fight against Gaejthe who is coming off back-to-back knockouts against James Vick and Edson Barboza:

“Yo, McTapper. You’re offered to fight [Justin Gaethje], you going to man up and fight, or your soul still hurting from that [Nurmagomedov] ass whipping? Justin will take you to a different level of deep waters.”

Gaethje has the 155-pound division on notice with his recent knockouts, and a fight against McGregor would be a mouth-watering proposition for fans of the sport given both men’s fighting style. However, the fighting future of “The Notorious” is up in the air as he’s been involved in some legal issues as of late and also announced just last month that he was retiring from the sport.

The 30-year-old pleaded not guilty after smashing a fan’s phone last month outside a Miami hotel. McGregor is also under investigation back in Ireland regarding an alleged sexual assault.
