Spencer forced a tap from Coleman.

Spencer lands a kick to the body, but Coleman catches a second kick from her opponent, taking her down. Spencer quickly scrambles back up. Coleman catches another kick and eats about four punches to the face from Spencer. Spencer drives Coleman into the fence and takes her down. Spencer maintains pressure and rains down several elbows before Coleman can return to her feet. Spencer dumps Coleman on the canvas once more near the fence and passes to side control, where she fires off a few quick elbows. Spencer transitions to Coleman’s back and she has both hooks in with 2:00 to go. Spencer slides her right arm underneath Coleman’s chin, leans back and cranks. After hanging on for a few seconds, Coleman is forced to tap out.

Round 1

The strawweights briefly exchange punches in the center of the cage before tying up, and Davidsdottir shoves D’Angelo’s back into the fence. Davidsdottir lands a right hand on the break, and now both combatants are trading and landing. Davidsdottir lands a leg kick and follows up with a right hand. A right hand from Davidsdottir gets through, but D’Angelo answers with a counter. D’Angelo lands a body kick behind a superman punch. Both fighters have no problem trading punches, and a right hand from D’Angelo lands clean. After yet another exchange, Davidsdottir drives her foe into the cage. She changes levels and gets D’Angelo down. D’Angelo works her way up relatively quickly. Davidsdottir appears to be bleeding from her nose. Dabidsdottir times a D’Angelo punch and shoves D’Angelo into the fence. Davidsdottir ends the frame landing short elbows and knees in the clinch. 10-9 Davidsdottir.

Davidsdottir dictated the pace against D’Angelo.

Davidsdottir lands a punching combination as she moves forward to begin the frame. Dabidsdottir lands a pair of right hands and then dives underneath a D’Angelo punch for a takedown in the center of the cage. The Icelandic fighter is in her opponent’s full guard, where she lands a few punches to the body. Davidsdottir stands and then shoots for another takedown as D’Angelo attempts to get to her feet. Davidsdottir is working from side control. She briefly gets full mount but D’Angelo recovers half guard. Davidsdottir is staying heavy on top as she tries to pass to mount. She advances to full mount with a little less than 2:00 to go. Davidsdottir drops a few elbows as D’Angelo attempts to escape the position. Davidsdottir is back in half guard now, but she continues to have success landing short punches and elbows from above. Davidsdottir floats above her opponent, continuing to stay busy with ground-and-pound. D’Angelo attempts to explode back up, but Davidsdottir won’t be denied, and she rides out the frame from top position. 10-8 Davidsdottir.

Round 3

Davidsdottir lands a right hand in an initial exchange. D’Angelo comes forward and eats another right hand. Davidsdottir punches her way into the clinch, but D’Angelo shoves her away. Davidsdottir lands a combination, clinches briefly and steps back. The Iceland native is consistently landing her right hand early. Davidsdottir forces the clinch, but again D’Angelo is able to separate quickly, and she lands a nice counter right hand. Dabidsdottir ducks under a punch and ties up D’Angelo, who again is able to break in short order. Davidsdottir lands a kick to the lead leg of her opponent. Then she follows up with a head kick-overhand right combination. D’Angelo absorbs another punching combination. Davidsdottir times a D’Angelo combination beautifully and takes her foe down near the fence. Davidsdottir ends the round on top, landing ground-and-pound as the bell sounds. 10-9 Davidsdottir (30-26 Davidsdottir).

Round 1

Maverick catches Romero with a straight left hand. Romero is looking to close the distance and they tie up. Maverick lands a knee and elbow in tight. They separate and return to the center of the cage. Romero lands a front kick to the midsection. They tie up again, and Romero fails on a head-and-arm throw. Maverick stacks her opponent, and she applies pressure with a cross face and drops a few short punches. Maverick stands and dives back into guard, and Romero rolls for a kneebar. Maverick frees herself, but Romero is able to move into top position. Now Maverick tries for a toehold, but loses it quickly. Romero is in side control with a little more than a minute left in the period. Romero looks to isolate her foe’s arm while landing hammerfists to the ribs. Romero falls back and looks to separate Maverick’s arms. Romero leans back and sells out for the armbar, but Maverick is able to survive the final 20 seconds. 10-9 Romero.

Maverick bested Romero on the cards.

Maverick lands a left hook as Romero tries to close the distance. Romero, meanwhile, is flicking out her jab. Maverick throws a kick and Romero pushes her foe into the fence and tries for a throw. Maverick is able to defend it and disengage. Maverick lands a multi-punch combo as she moves forward. Maverick is finding the range now, doubling up on her left hand as Romero tries to advance. They clinch and Maverick lands an uppercut. Romero wants to throw her opponent but Maverick shoves her away and rocks Romero with an uppercut. Maverick marches forward with punches and gets sucked into the clinch again. Romero looks for a throw and drops to her back instead. Maverick is on top, and she lands several right hands to the head. Maverick transitions to an armbar, but Romero spins out of danger easily. Maverick is still in side control, and she lands some hammerfists to the hip of her opponent. Maverick elbows the body of Romero repeatedly from half guard. Romero scrambles up and grabs Maverick’s leg. She can’t get a takedown before the round ends. 10-9 Maverick.

Round 3

Maverick lands an uppercut in an early exchange. They clinch, and Romero lands a knee as Maverick pushes her against the fence. Romero reaches around Maverick’s head, but she can’t lock her hands for a guillotine. Romero gives it up and they separate. Maverick lands a right uppercut-left hook combination. Romero backs Maverick up with a straight right hand. They tie up briefly, but Maverick is able to disengage. Romero punches her way into the clinch and she lands several uppercuts to the body. Romero pushes Maverick into the cage and drops in pursuit of a double leg takedown. Maverick eventually sprawls out. She stands and lands a brutal knee to Romero’s body. Romero rolls to her back and Maverick drops some hammerfists before Romero is able to transition to an armbar in a scramble with 45 seconds left. Maverick stands and defends as Romero tries to separate her opponent’s arms from her back. Romero can’t break her opponent’s grip and the round ends. 10-9 Maverick (29-28 Maverick).

Referee Franklin may have jumped the gun.

Rodriguez kicks her opponent’s lead leg and follows up with a right hand. A one-two from Rodriguez finds a home. The Mexican fighter presses forward, and Rodriguez tags Acioly with a jab. Acioly stumbles backward in a daze. A clean right hand drops the Brazilian near the fence and Rodriguez pounces for the finish with ground-and-pound. Rodriguez rains down strikes from above, but referee Greg Franklin gives Acioly a chance to compose herself, and the Brazilian recovers her guard. Rodriguez remains active, landing elbows and punches while trying to advance positions. The strikes continue to add up, and another series of hammerfists from Rodriguez prompts Franklin to step in and wave off the flyweight contest, even though Acioly appears to be active with her guard.

Sorensen won, but missed weight Friday.

After about 45 seconds, Sorensen closes the distance and executes a trip takedown. “Bam” ends up in side control, and she lands an elbow to the body. Sorenson stays tight on top and begins landing knees to the body. Sorenson moves to full mount and postures up, landing left and right hands to the face. Kolesnyk absorbs more shots as she turns and gives up her back. Sorenson is in complete control, landing punches and elbows before stepping over for an armbar. She leans back and extends the arm. It looks bad, but Kolesnyk continues to fight, turning over to defend the maneuver. Sorenson cranks the hold and Kolesnyk finally asks out of the fight.

Round 1

Cummins gets in Frey’s face and lands a right hand, then another combination. Cummins changes levels for a single leg, but Frey is able to defend. Frey turns her opponent into the fence and lands a single-leg takedown of her own. Cummins has a high guard, and she rolls in hopes of an armbar. Frey attempts to pass guard, but Cummins is able to scramble up. Cummins drops for a single-leg, and Frey sprawls in the center of the cage. Cummins pressures with punches and Frey lands a hook to the body. Cummins pressures forward with punches, allowing Frey to change levels and get a takedown in the center of the cage. Frey is inside her opponent’s full guard. Frey is able to land a couple hammerfists before standing, where she kicks Cummins legs as she stays on her back. Cummins scoots her way up iwth a minute remaining. Cummins moves forward and lands a left hook. Frey ties up her foe after Cummins lands a body kick. They battle for position against the cage and Frey turns her foe against the fence before the round ends. 10-9 Frey.

Round 2

They tie up within 10 seconds and Frey is able to take Cummins down near the fence. Cummins utilizes the high guard once more, while Frey attempts to create space. Cummins angles her legs in position for an armbar. Frey plants her knee on Cummins face to create separation and is eventually able to free her limb. Frey lands an elbow but Cummins transitions to another armbar. Cummins extends the hold, but Frey somersaults out of danger. Frey lands a couple punches before Cummins fishes for yet another armbar. Frey frees herself and lands a couple punches. Cummins stands and they separate with 2:00 remaining. Cummins wings two right hands, and Frey ducks under the second offering for a takedown. Frey lands a couple elbows and finds herself trapped in an armbar again. Cummins extends the hold from her back as Frey uses her foot to gain leverage. Cummins is still on her back, while Frey defends from a seated position. Frey gradually breaks Cummins grip just before the bell sounds. 10-9 Cummins.

Frey survived a few close calls.

Cummins applies pressure, wading in with right hands and body kicks. Frey forces the clinch and pushes Cummins into the fence. Frey gets a single leg takedown and lands in Cummins’ guard. Once again, Cummins is active from her back, as she looks to gradually work her legs up for an armbar. Frey is being more conservative so far, not looking to create space for strikes. Cummins tries to scramble up, allowing Frey to transition to her back. Frey lands some right hands, but Cummins is able to recover half guard. Frey lands elbows and punches to the ribs. Cummins regains full guard at the 1:30 mark, and she quickly threatens with an armbar. Frey stacks her foe and Cummins abandons the attempt. Frey lands a pair of elbows in full guard. Cummins angles her hips with 15 seconds to go in hopes of a triangle, but she can’t make anything happen before the bell sounds. 10-9 Frey. (29-28 Frey).

Round 1

After about 45 seconds of inactivity, Borella rushes forward and ties up her foe. Dudieva turns her foe and dumps her on the canvas. Borella tries to isolate her opponent’s leg, but Dudieva frees herself and they stand again. They trade in the pocket and Borella lands several solid shots. Dudieva stalks Borella but can’t land anything significant. Dudieva continues to try and cut off the cage. She lands a straight to the body, but Borella answers with a solid counter right. Borella goes for a single leg from distance and gets caught in a standing guillotine by Dudieva. Dudieva drops to her back, but Borella is in half guard. Dudieva keeps her grip on Borella’s head, even though the Italian has moved to side control. The round ends that way. 10-9 Borella.

Round 2

Borella lands a low kick to the Russian’s lead leg. Dudieva stalks her foe and gets a tie up near the fence. Dudieva lands a knee to the body, and then a couple more knees to the thighs. Borella turns her foe and trips the UFC vet to the canvas. Borella stays heavy from half guard. She isolates Dudieva’s arm and lands a couple punches before the Russian reaches for a leg lock. Borella dives back into full guard and passes to half guard, where she lands some short punches to the head near the fence. Borella creates space and lands more right hands. Dudieva is trying to tie up the Italian’s hands, but Borella is able to land some elbows. Dudieva is trying to scramble to a better position, but Borella is doing a good job maintaining top control. The round ends with Borella in Dudieva’s full guard. 10-9 Borella.

Dudieva misses an overhand right and Borella counters. The Italian forces the clinch and trips Dudieva to the floor. Borella passes to full mount near the fence. Dudieva uses her feet to push off the cage and tries to frame an armbar. Borella escapes that but inserts herself into a triangle armbar. Borella lifts Dudieva up and slams her down. The Italian is still trapped and is eating punches to the head. Borella pries her head free and she moves to side control. She traps Dudieva’s right arm, but the Russian is walking her feet on the cage. Dudieva frees her arm, but Borella is still in side control. Dudieva regains half guard, and she is trying to stay active with low impact punches to the body. Borella passes to full mount. Dudieva kicks off the cage and reverses position. Borella transitions to an armbar from her back. It’s not tight, but she maintains the hold as the combatants hammer away at each other with punches until the final horn. 10-9 Borella. (30-27 Borella).
