Costa has been added to
UFC on ESPN 58 on June 15 at the Apex in Las Vegas.
The news was first reported by Eurosport Nl’s Marcel Dorff on
X (formerly known as Twitter) and also
confirmed by Costa on his social media handles. The card will be
headlined by a flyweight meeting between Alex Perez
and Tatsuro
Taira.
Shayilan (39-11) will be aiming to return to winning ways following
a Round 2 knockout loss at the hands of Steve
Garcia at
UFC 287 in April last year. Prior to that, the Chinese national
was on a three-fight winning streak in the promotion, with wins
over T.J.
Brown, Darrick
Minner and Sean
Soriano.
As for Costa (20-7), the Brazilian is also coming off a Round 2
knockout loss against Garcia in December of last year. He currently
sports a 1-2
Ultimate Fighting Championship record.
