The
Professional Fighters League playoffs are on the horizon.
The organization on Monday announced the dates and locations for
its three postseason events. Heavyweights and womenβs flyweights
are set for Aug. 2 at the Nashville Municipal Auditorium in
Nashville, Tennessee; light heavyweights and lightweights will be
in action at Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida on Aug. 16 and
welterweights and featherweights will take center stage at The
Anthem in Washington, D.C., on Aug. 23.
βPFL playoff action is second to none, with the best athletes in
the sport vying for a chance to continue their million-dollar
championship journeys,β said PFL CEO Peter Murray in a release.
βThe PFL is excited to bring the 2024 PFL global season playoffs to
Nashville, Miami and D.C. as well as our fans from 160 countries
around the globe. The PFL global season playoffs win-and-advance
format is the epitome of meritocracy.β
Before playoff pairings are set, seedings must be decided during
the second leg of the PFL regular season. That begins on June 13 at
the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut, with a
card headlined by a heavyweight duel between Valentin
Moldavsky and Linton
Vassell. Other regular season events are scheduled for June 13
and June 21.
