Alex
Perez (24-8) will take on Tagir
Ulanbekov (15-2), while Nathan
Maness (15-3) is scheduled to lock horns with Jimmy Flick
(17-7). Perez vs. Ulanbekov was first reported by Eurosport NL’s Marcel Dorff on X
(formerly known as Twitter), while James Lynch
initially brought word of Maness vs. Flick.
Perez is currently on a three-fight losing skid, most recently
suffering a unanimous decision loss at the hands of the surging
Muhammad
Mokaev in March. Prior to that, the California native suffered
back-to-back Round 1 submission losses against Deiveson
Figueiredo and Alexandre
Pantoja.
Standing across from him will be Dagestan’s Ulanbekov, fresh off
consecutive submission victories against Cody Durden
and Nathan
Maness. The victory against Maness marked Ulanbekov’s return to
the win column after suffering his first
Ultimate Fighting Championship loss against Tim Elliott
at
UFC 272.
Maness (15-3) will enter the Octagon on the heels of a Round 1
technical knockout victory against Mateus
Mendonca at
UFC Fight Night 229. The emphatic win saw him bounce back from
a two-fight losing skid, where he suffered consecutive defeats
against Ulanbekov at flyweight and against Umar
Nurmagomedov at bantamweight.
Meanwhile, Flick (17-7) wil return to action following a Round 2
submission win over Malcolm
Gordon at
UFC 297 in January. The
Dana White’s Contender Series alum has gone 2-2 in the
promotion, securing a Round 1 flying triangle choke submission
victory against Cody Durden
in his
Ultimate Fighting Championship debut.
