Report: Alexander Hernandez-Damon Jackson Added to April UFC Fight Night Card

A matchup pitting seasoned featherweights Alexander
Hernandez and Damon
Jackson into a three-round contest has been added to
UFC Fight Night: Vettori vs. Allen.

The event is scheduled to take place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas
on April 6. The news was first reported by Eurosport’s Marcel Dorff
in a social media post.

Hernandez (14-7) will make his way to the Octagon against Jackson
coming off a unanimous decision loss to Bill Algeo at

UFC 229 in October. Prior to his recent defeat, “The Great Ape”
secured a unanimous decision victory against Jim Miller at

UFC Fight Night 219 .

Meanwhile, Jackson (22-6) will look to return to the win column
after suffering back-to-back losses against Billy
Quarantillo and Dan Ige in
August and January of 2023, respectively. Prior to that, the Dallas
native was on a four-fight win streak, which involved victories
against the likes of Pat
Sabatini, Dan Argueta
and Kamuela
Kirk.

UFC Fight Night “Vettori vs. Allen” will feature a clash between
No. 5-ranked middleweight Marvin
Vettori and surging contender Brendan
Allen, who currently holds the No. 8 spot in the middleweight
division.
