Buckley’s management initially announced the middleweight pairing.
UFC 282 takes place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas and is
expected to include a light heavyweight title rematch between
Jiri
Prochazka and Glover
Teixeira, though that bout has not been made official.
Curtis had an eight-fight winning streak snapped in his most recent
outing, when he dropped a unanimous verdict to Jack
Hermansson at UFC Fight Night 208 on July 23. “The Action Man”
began his promotional tenure with triumphs over Phil Hawes,
Brendan
Allen and Rodolfo
Vieira.
Buckley, meawhile, is coming off a unanimous decision loss to
Nassourdine
Imavov at UFC Fight Night 209 on Sept. 3. Prior to that, “New
Mansa” had earned successive triumphs against Antonio
Arroyo, Abdul
Razak Alhassan and Albert
Duraev in the Octagon.
