The Parisian fans attending the Dome de Paris for
Ares Fighting Championship
’s latest event were hoping for a
different result in the headliner.

In the
Ares FC 8
main event, Ivana
Siric Petrovic
forced Alexandra
Tekenah
to tap to conquer the promotion’s flyweight
championship. Little could hometown hero Tekenah (2-1, 2-1 Ares) do
to contain the impetuousness of Petrovic (5-0, 3-0 Ares), who
attacked with a varied arsenal and showcased flawless defense. When
the occasion arose, Petrovic took down Tekenah and imparted some
grappling knowledge. The Norwegian ended the contest in the third
frame after taking her opponent’s back and forcing her to tap due
to a rear-naked choke. The official time was 4:43 mark of Round
3.

In the co-headliner, Slim
Trabelsi
took Azamat
Nuftillaev
to school before submitting his opponent in a
heavyweight championship affair. Nuftillaev (12-1-1, 0-1 Ares) had
a positive moment in the fight’s beginning, but Trabelsi (6-0, 2-0
Ares) showed his heart and fought out of his opponent’s submission
attempt and retaliated with some submissions of his own. The

American Kickboxing Academy
product dictated the pace after
easily putting his foe on the canvas out of the gate in Round 2.
Trabelsi landed several shots on Nuftillaev, who didn’t find a
solution to block his opponent’s initiative. The final moments of
the fight saw Trabelsi drop nasty hammerfists on his adversary
until the referee had mercy and saved Nuftillaev from unnecessary
punishment. The official time indicated 3:55 of the second stanza.
In addition to the victory, Trabelsi also took home the vacant
belt.

Elsewhere, Alioune
Nahaye
(12-3, 1-0 Ares) battled short-notice replacement
David-Tonatiuh
Crol
(9-8, 1-2 Ares) before scoring a rare majority-decision
victory (27-27, 28-26, 28-27) in a 150-pound catchweight clash; in
a lightweight affair, Ghiles
Oudelha
(14-5, 1-0 Ares) imposed his will over Teddy
Violet
(11-5, 1-1 Ares) en route to a unanimous decision
(29-28, 29-28, 29-28); 125-pounder Shaj Haque
(14-5, 1-0 Ares) eked out a narrow split decision over Samir
Faiddine
(14-9, 1-1 Ares) via split decision (30-27, 29-28,
29-28); Baysangour
Chamsoudinov
(5-0, 2-0 Ares) took home a unanimous decision
(30-27, 30-27, 30-27) over Bobby
Pallett

Igor
Glazkov
(7-0, 1-0 Ares) outpointed Paulin
Begai
(2-2, 0-2 Ares) on all scorecards (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)
R3; Racim
Batouche
(5-1, 1-0 Ares) did enough to defeat Ammari
Diedrick
(2-1, 1-1 Ares) via unanimous decision at welterweight
and 185-pounder Mantas
Kondratavicius
(2-0, 1-0 Ares) overcame Ale Joseph
(1-1, 0-1 Ares) after his opponent suffered a shoulder injury at
1:55 of the opening frame.
