Barring injury or other unforeseen circumstances, the playoff
pairings are set for Professional Fighters League’s venture into
the United Kingdom next month.

PFL 7 takes place on Aug. 13 at Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff, Wales,
and features welterweight and heavyweight semifinals. Rory
MacDonald will face Magomed
Umalatov in one 170-pound matchup, while Sadibou Sy
will face Carlos
Leal Miranda in the other half of the bracket. At heavyweight,
Ante
Delija takes on Renan
Ferreira, while Denis
Goltsov squares off against Bruno
Cappelozza.
Meanwhile, PFL 8 will go down on Aug. 20 at Copperbox Arena in
London and is highlighted by the women’s lightweight and men’s
featherweight semifinals. Two-time champ Kayla
Harrison will meet Martina
Jindrova at 155 pounds, while Larissa
Pacheco faces Helena Koelsnyk in the other lightweight
semifinal. At featherweight, Chris Wade
fights Brendan
Loughnane, while Ryoji Kudo
locks horns with Bubba
Jenkins.
The PFL announced Wednesday that tickets are on sale for both
events.
“The PFL is excited to bring our first international events to
Cardiff and London on August 13 and 20,” said PFL CEO Peter Murray.
“As the Professional Fighters League continues its expansion, we
look forward to delivering 2022 PFL playoff action to MMA fans in
the UK. The PFL playoffs give fans the best live action in combat
sports as the PFL’s world-class athletes continue their pursuit of
a PFL championship and the $1 million prize.”
The PFL postseason will kick off on Aug. 5 at the Hulu Theater at
Madison Square Garden in New York with lightweight and light
heavyweight semifinal bouts.
