Nate
Diaz
is getting restless.

The popular UFC star is ready to fight someone in the Las
Vegas-based promotion — as long as it’s not Conor
McGregor
. Diaz took to Twitter recently to voice his
frustration with his current situation.

“I been trying to fight everybody and no go, what’s the hold up
UFC?” Diaz wrote. “I’m not fighting Conor, he sucks. I’l fight some
one. Quit slow rolling me please. Thanks.”

After sitting out all of 2020, Diaz returned to the Octagon at UFC
263 last June, where he dropped a decision to welterweight
contender Leon
Edwards
in a five-round, non-title bout. The Stockton, Calif.,
native had been linked to a potential matchup against Dustin
Poirier
, but after UFC 273, Dana White indicated that the
promotion had moved on from that fight.

While Diaz seems uninterested in a third fight with McGregor, a
trilogy remains a potentially lucrative option for the UFC and can
be booked regardless of each fighter’s current standing in the
sport. McGregor is currently on the mend from a broken leg suffered
in a loss to Poirier last July.

Diaz has fought three times since two bouts against McGregor in
2016 propelled him to a new level of stardom. He returned to defeat
Anthony
Pettis
via unanimous decision at UFC 241 in August 2019 before
fallling to Jorge
Masvidal
in a clash for the “BMF” title at UFC 244 in November
of that same year. Another hiatus followed prior to the
aforementioned defeat at the hands of Edwards at UFC 263.
