The
Professional Fighters League‘s debut Challengers Series event
is now official, with all eight fighters making the light
heavyweight limit.
Headlining
PFL Challenger Series 1 is undefeated prospect Joshua
Silveira, who will take on Mohamed
Juma. Silveira (7-0) was last seen in the Legacy Fighting
Alliance, where he served as the 205-pound champion and the
middleweight champ concurrently. The Arizona fighter knocked out
Tee
Cummins with a head kick and then won a decision over Jared Revel
to retain his light heavyweight belt. Meanwhile, Juma (8-2) is
looking to rebound after being disqualified due to a fish hook
against Sofiane
Boukichou last year. Prior to the DQ, “King John” had won eight
straight fights, all by stoppage.
PFL Challenger Series 1 will air live on FuboTV and the Fubo Sports
Network at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.
