Conor
McGregor is still managing to make headlines even as he
recovers from a broken leg suffered in his last Ultimate Fighting
Championship appearance.
According to
TMZ Sports, the former two-division UFC champion was involved
in an altercation with musician Machine Gun Kelly — whose given
name is Colson Baker — at MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday at the
Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.
McGregor reported approached Kelly initially to ask for a photo and
was denied by the musician. That situation reportedly escalated
into Kelly shoving McGregor, causing the Irish star to spill his
drink. McGregor then threw what was left of his drink at MGK, which
led to the two men being separated by security staff on hand.

During the brief scuffle, McGregor briefly lost his walking cane,
which he has been using while recovering from the broken leg,
before it was returned to him. The SBG Ireland standout still made
it inside for the ceremony, according to TMZ Sports. Kelly, who was
accompanied by film-star girlfriend Megan Fox, was scheduled to
perform at the event.
McGregor last fought at UFC 264 in July, where he suffered a
gruesome broken leg in a first-round TKO loss to Dustin
Poirier at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. “Notorious”
underwent a surgery in which an intramedullary rod was inserted
into his tibia and a plate and screws were attached to the fibula.
In the aftermath, McGregor revealed he had
pre-existing stress fractures in his leg heading into his
trilogy bout against Poirier. UFC president Dana White has said the
he expects McGregor to be sidelined for at least a year.
