Bellator MMA Announces Douglas Lima vs. MVP 2, UK Return in October

“Venom” will get an opportunity to revenge his only defeat.

On Tuesday morning, Bellator
MMA
announced that Douglas
Lima
would square off with Michael
Page
once again in October. The first time “The Phenom” and
“Venom” locked horns, Lima handed Page his first defeat after
knocking him out 35 seconds in the second stanza at Bellator 232.
The pair will headline the upcoming Bellator London card, which
also marks the promotional return in the Old Continent following
the COVID-19 outbreak. The latest Bellator event outside the United
States dates back to Bellator 240, which took place in Dublin on
Feb. 2020.

Former 170-pound champion Lima (32-9, 14-5 Bellator) is currently
on a two-bout skid. Lima failed to capture the middleweight
championship and become a two-division champion when he dropped a
decision to Gegard
Mousasi
at Bellator 250. After that, he was outpointed by
Yaroslav
Amosov
, losing the welterweight belt in the process, at
Bellator 260. His latest victory dates back to October 2019, when
he overcame Rory
MacDonald
via decision at Bellator 232.

After losing to Lima in May 2019, Page (19-1, 15-1 Bellator) has
scored five consecutive victories. The list includes a decision
over Ross
Houston
at Bellator 248 and a doctor stoppage over Derek
Anderson
at Bellator 258. “MVP” has also headlined the latest
Bellator event in the UK, where he stopped Giovanni
Melillo
107 seconds into the opening frame at Bellator London
in November 2019.

The upcoming Bellator London event will go down on Oct. 1. The main
card includes a featherweight affair between Robert
Whiteford
and Andrew
Fisher
and a 155-pound clash with Yves Landu
and Tim Wilde.
