One Championship “Battleground” will feature a strawweight muay
Thai title bout and the return of former two-division champion
Aung
La N Sang at the top of the bill.
The Singapore-based promotion announced the full card for the
event, which takes place at Singapore Indoor Stadium in Singapore
on July 30. In the main event, Sam-A Gaiyanghadao will defend his
strawweight crown against Prajanchai PK.Saenchai Muaythaigym, while
Sang will square off against Leandro
Ataides in a featured MMA clash at middleweight (205
pounds).
The event will take place behind closed doors and according to a
release, the promotion “is working closely with the relevant
government agencies and industry stakeholders to ensure the highest
standards of health and safety.”
The card will include three other MMA bouts: Ritu Phogat
vs. Lin Heqin at atomweight (115 pounds); Chen Rui vs. Jeremy
Pacatiw at bantamweight (145 pounds) and Victoria
Lee vs. Wang Luping at atomweight (115 pounds). Additionally,
Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong will meet Tayfun Ozcan in a featherweight
kickboxing matchup.
It was also revealed that One “Battleground II” will take place on
Aug. 13 and is headlined by a showdown between former lightweight
champion Eduard
Folayang and Lipeng
Zhang, while One “Battleground III” is set for Aug. 27 and will
feature a muay Thai clash pitting Saemapetch Fairtex against
Tawanchai PK.Saenchai Muaythaigym
