The
Legacy Fighting Alliance‘s first card on Brazilian soil led to
an exciting night of fights. Headlining the LFA
111 card was a lightweight fight between prospects Rangel
Ribeiro de Sa and Ismael
Bonfim. The well-matched fight was tightly contested with both
fighters having their moments in the opening rounds. Bonfim (15-3)

with a huge overhand right that left Farias (10-3) out cold.
The fight was called off after just 56 seconds.
In a bout between experienced lightweights, Arthur Lima
took on Rodrigo
Lidio. It was Lidio (12-2) that landed early as he floored Lima
(9-3), who quickly recovered and managed to get a takedown to
control the rest of Round 1. However, Lidio landed
a huge left hook in Round 2 that knocked Lima completely out.

frame.

Bellato impressed against
Carlos Eduardo Souza Custodio. Bellato (7-1) hurt Custodio
(5-2) on the feet early in the first frame and later sunk in a
rear-naked choke for the submission win at the 3:05 mark. “Trator”
is now on a two-fight win streak.
Unbeaten lightweights Kaue
Fernandes and Luan
Andre
Souza Sardinha clashed for 15 minutes. While Fernandes (6-1)
was in control early on, Sardinha (8-0) would mount a comeback in
the second frame to even the bout with aggressive striking.
Sardinha would carry the momentum into the third round against an
exhausted Fernandes, which resulted in a unanimous decision victory
(28-26, 28-26, 28-27) for “Panterinha.”

Castanho made a statement agaisnt
Maristela Alves do Nascimento. Castanho (5-0) was able to
lock in an armbar early in Round 1 and forced Nascimento (4-1)
to finally tap at the 4:20 mark. “Monster” has now finished four of
her five victories.
The main card opened with a battle between undefeated heavyweights
named Eduardo. In the end, it was Eduardo
Jose Neves (4-0) that kept his record spotless. The Brazilian
