Sign up for ESPN+ right here, and you can then stream the UFC live on
your smart TV, computer, phone, tablet or streaming device via the
ESPN app. The
Ultimate Fighting Championship will put on its final event of
2020 on Saturday, and the weigh-ins went on without issue.
Hopefully,
UFC Fight Night 183 will end the year on a high note. The card
is main evented by a welterweight bout between former title
challenger Stephen
Thompson and a surging Geoff Neal.
After the weigh-ins, the 12-fight card is now official as everyone
made weight. Additionally, Dalcha
Lungiambula weighed in at 185.5 pounds as a potential
alternate.
“Wonderboy” rebounded from a surprising two-fight skid with a
thrilling decision over Vicente
Luque in his last appearance. It’s been a year since Thompson
(15-4-1) last fought, and he’ll look to re-establish himself as a
contender. At 37, it appears to be do-or-die if the South Carolina
native wants to win gold inside the Octagon. Thompson looked
prepared on the scales, and didn’t need the one-pound allowance as
he weighed 170 pounds.
Riding an impressive seven-fight win streak is Neal (13-2). Living
up to his “Handz of Steel” moniker, Neal has knocked out three of
his five UFC opponents including Mike Perry
and Niko
Price. He’ll look to stay perfect inside the Octagon in his
first main event. Neal had no issue making weight, and officially
came in at 171 pounds.
UFC Fight Night 183 will stream in its entirety on ESPN+. The
prelims begin at 4 p.m. ET/1 p.m. PT, while the six-fight main card
starts at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT.
