One Championship aired the pre-recorded second
part of the One: Big Bang series on Dec. 11.

The One:
Big Bang 2
main event featured a much-anticipated muay Thai
contest in One’s flyweight division between Jonathan Haggerty and
Taiki Naito. It didn’t take long for Haggerty to impose his
surgical striking on his hapless opponent. “The General” dropped
Naito to the canvas in the first and second frame, but the Japanese
fighter survived to hear the final bell. All three judges rewarded
Haggerty with a well-deserved unanimous decision victory.

In the co-main event, Nieky Holzken folded Elliot Compton with a
nasty punch to the liver punch in the opening stanza of their
lightweight kickboxing contest. Compton started the fight with an
intense pace, bringing the fight to his opponent. After Compton
finished his assault, Holzken responded with a lethal combination
to the body that put Compton away. The clock indicated 1:36 when
the referee stopped the action.

The MMA main attraction on the card saw Jae Woong
Kim
finish Tetsuya
Yamada
in One’s featherweight division. “The Fighting God” put
a beating on his opponent from the opening bell until he earned the
stoppage, which came at the 4:39 mark in the second stanza. Referee
Olivier Coste intervened when noticing Yamada was no longer
intelligently defending himself from Kim’s ground-and-pound.

Elsewhere, Rade Opacic made a statement at heavyweight when he
knocked out veteran Dutch kickboxer Errol
Zimmerman
. Opacic landed a perfectly executed spinning heel
kick to the head that put Zimmerman out at 1:35 of Round 2.

In an MMA contest in One’s bantamweight division, Tyler
McGuire
prevailed over Agilan
Thani
by unanimous decision. Earlier that night, Rui Chen
blitzed Ali Motamed
with a barrage of punches, earning the stoppage at 1:56 of the
opening round.
