Cezar ‘Mutante’ Among Eight New Additions to Professional Fighters League Roster

Even with its 2020 season canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic,
Professional Fighters League is still looking to improve its
roster.

The promotion on Tuesday announced eight new signings, including
15-time UFC veteran Cezar
Ferreira
(middleweight). The other additions include: “The
Ultimate Fighter: Brazil” 3 cast member Joilton
Lutterbach
(lightweight), UFC and WSOF veteran Sheymon
Moraes
(featherweight), ex-KOK champ Hatef Moeil
(heavyweight), one-time UFC competitor Sung Bin Jo
(featherweight), LFA veteran and Team Nogueira product Renan
Ferreira
(heavyweight), ex-Cage Warriors title challenger
Marthin
Hamlet
(light heavyweight) and three-promotion regional champ
Brandon
Sayles
(heavyweight).

Cezar “Mutante” is the most notable of the signings, with a 9-6 UFC
mark that included victories over the likes of Nate
Marquardt
, Jack
Hermansson
, Anthony
Smith
and Thiago
Santos
during his promotional tenure.

“We are extremely excited to welcome a diverse group of world-class
talent to the Professional Fighters League as part of the 2021
roster,” PFL president Ray Sefo said in a release. “The addition of
elite competitors from countries such as Brazil, Norway,
South    Korea and Germany is representative of
PFL’s global reach. We look forward to seeing what these fighters
can do on the biggest stage, as they look to advance through a
Regular Season, Playoffs and Championship and earn a title and
million-dollar prize.”

The PFL 2021 campaign is expected to begin in April 2021 and
features fighters from six weight classes competing for a $1
million prize through a regular season and playoff format. Events
will be broadcast on ESPN2, ESPN+ and ESPN Deportes.

The new signings are part of PFL’s commitment to
change its roster by 50 percent
from the 2019 season. Earlier
this year, PFL signed Mohammed

.
