A middleweight showdown between Kevin
Holland and Darren
Stewart is slated for the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s
Sept. 19 offering.
Holland announced the pairing in an Instagram post. The card is
expected to take place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas and is
headlined by a welterweight clash pitting Colby
Covington against Tyron
Woodley.
Holland has posted a 2-0 mark in UFC competition during the
pandemic, earning technical knockout triumphs over Anthony
Hernandez and Joaquin
Buckley. The 27-year-old Texan has won five of his last six
Octagon appearances after falling to former light heavyweight title
contender Thiago
Santos in his promotional debut.
Stewart, meanwhile, has won three of his last four professional
outings. Most recently, “The Dentist” submitted Maki Pitolo
in the opening stanza at UFC Fight Night 174 on Aug. 8.
