Frank Camacho Replaces Christos Giagos, Meets Alan Patrick at UFC Lincoln

Frank Camacho will replace the injured Christos Giagos and face Alan Patrick Silva Alves at UFC Fight Night 173.

Combate was first to report the change to the lightweight contest. The UFC has canceled all of its events through April 11 due to the coronavirus pandemic. If the schedule resumes as planned, UFC Fight Night 173 will take place at Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, Neb., on April 25 and is headlined by a light heavyweight duel between Anthony Smith and Glover Teixeira. The card will stream on ESPN+.

Camacho has lost three of his last four Octagon appearances. Most recently, the 30-year-old Team Oyama representative suffered a first-round submission loss to Beneil Dariush at UFC Fight Night 162 this past October. Camacho is 2-4 in the UFC and 22-8 as a professional overall.

Alves had a three-bout winning streak halted in his most recent outing at UFC 229, where he was knocked out in the opening stanza by Scott Holtzman. The 36-year-old Brazilian is 5-2 during his promotional tenure and 15-2 over the course of his pro career.
